As someone who has been mad on game, down on game, game curious and game averse (to name just a few of my complicated emotional relationships with the concept), I really like the control this framing gives improvisers. Ultimately, I feel like there's loads of ways of doing a 'good' scene, even with the same basic grounded reality or initiation. More often than not it boils down to the improvisers being bold enough to pick a focus and stick to it.
Of course, a thousand-million scenes don't do that and still work, so what do I know!?
